"We distributed 10 fishing boats"
Speaking about their support and projects in Niger, Halil Karafak, General Manager of Yedi Başak Humanitarian Relief Association, said, "We distributed food parcels in Niger. We distributed milk goats to orphan mothers. We slaughtered our donors' sacrifices and distributed them to our families in need. Then, we opened water wells. and we checked the water wells we had previously opened. We gave them a fishing boat. We personally went to the site of our fishing boat and observed its condition and conditions. We observed and examined whether our project was successful or not. We distributed 10 fishing boats. We went to the place of these families and inspected and inspected our project. Fisherman We distributed the boat on the Niger River in the Say region of Niger. When we went and observed our families in this region, our eyes filled with tears. Because we observed that our families hugged us and talked about us when we went. Unfortunately, there is no employment for people there, unemployment is very high. "People cannot stand on their own feet," he said.
"We teach people how to fish, not give them fish."
Stating that, as an association, they provide short-term aid as well as long-term support thanks to sustainable development projects, Karafak said, "As an association, we also attach importance to sustainable development projects for 2021. In this context, when we visit our fishing boat and our families there, they both stand on their own feet and fish. They make their living by transporting people with people across the river. In other words, our aim is to touch a person. The people we help are living there with their own families and continuing their lives. By 'showing people how to fish, not giving them fish', those people can survive, not just for once, and stand on their own feet and live their lives. As an association, we care about these projects. We enable people to stand on their own feet by creating opportunities for people such as fishing boats, dairy goats, grocery and greengrocer projects, etc. Our donors who want to support these meaningful projects, our bank account numbers, PTT postal check account and Yedibasak By donating online at .org.tr or by coming to our Association headquarters. They can support families in need. We care about transparency in our work. We document our donors who support the sustainable development project, our work and their charity, and send them their visuals and photographs. In this regard, our association works in a very transparent and accountable manner. "We expect our donors to support our brothers on the dark continent in Africa, and we make an announcement to them here to pave the way for such studies and reach more people," he said.
