Hope for the Future of Children in Somalia

This project, to be implemented by 2025, will provide regular shelter, nutrition, education, and healthcare for 100 orphaned children at the center. In addition, it will offer educational and social activity support to over 100 students from outside the center. In Somalia, single mothers face heavy responsibilities in raising their children alone. This center will not only offer a safe future for children but will also be a space of solidarity to lighten the burden on mothers.

Services to be Provided

The services to be implemented at the center aim to build not only the present but also the future of children:

Educational Programs: Supporting children's academic and social development and strengthening their learning environments.

Social and Cultural Activities: Increasing children's self-confidence through sports activities, cultural programs, and spiritual education.

Health and Nutrition: Ensuring children's physical development through regular health checkups, healthy eating, and hygiene education.

Employment: Contributing to Somali society and supporting economic mobility through the employment of local personnel.

Sustainability: Ensuring the continuity of the project through monthly monitoring, reporting, and impact assessment studies.

Attorney İsmet Yıldırım, President of the Yedi Başak Humanitarian Aid Association, made the following statement about the project:

“As Yedi Başak, we believe that building a child's future is not only about providing them with a place to live; it's about touching their hearts and supporting their education. This center we have opened in Somalia will be a living space where our children will grow up safely, receive education, and develop socially.

Our Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, ‘I and the one who cares for an orphan will be like this in Paradise,’ and he brought his two fingers together. This hadith reminds us that caring for orphans is not only a humanitarian but also a religious responsibility. We consider it our greatest duty to care for these children, who are a trust from our Lord, to touch their hearts, and to secure their future.”
