In Somalia, hundreds of thousands of children have lost one or both parents due to conflict, disease, or natural disasters. Many of these children struggle to survive, lacking access to even the most basic needs. Refusing to remain silent in the face of this heartbreaking reality, Yedi Başak aims to build not just a shelter, but a life center that nurtures compassion, safety, and a future.

“Supporting Orphans is Leaving Kindness to the World”

Attorney İsmet Yıldırım, President of Yedi Başak Humanitarian Relief Organization, shared the following about the project:

“Our Prophet said, ‘The one who looks after an orphan and I will be like this in Paradise,’ and he held his two fingers together. This hadith shows us how valuable it is to care for orphans. For our orphaned children striving to survive in Somalia, we are launching this project to offer not just a roof over their heads, but also education, healthcare, and a future filled with love. ‘The Gateway to the Future’ is the conscience of humanity.”

What Will the Project Provide?

* 100 children residing at the orphanage will regularly receive shelter, food, education, and healthcare services.

* Over 100 additional students living outside the center will also be supported in various ways.

* A social support network will be established for mothers of orphans, offering financial and emotional assistance.

* Employment opportunities will be created for local staff, contributing to community development.

* Programs supporting children's psychological and moral development will be implemented.
